F.A.Q.

• How do I place an order?

Just shoot us a message to our Facebook or Instagram page about what you want! However in order to preserve your artwork's quality, you will still have to send your files through Google Drive (preferred) or email pawpurrint@gmail.com . And no I don’t have a WhatsApp number, please message either of these two pages!

• How long will you take to complete my order?

Usually around 2 working days, but please reserve about a week for it including delivery time! I usually prep and process the order the day of and work on the production on the next day after order confirmation, and then ship it out on the same day if it's completed before 6.30pm. If it's a big order/project/convention season it might take more time, but I will keep you updated :)
* Order is only confirmated after payment and artwork confirmation

• How do I get my order?

Usually by postage! I usually use DHL or Pgeon, depending on availability and/or rate
Standard rate:
RM 8 for West Malaysia
RM 15 for East Malaysia
* If you live in FELDA /remote area and/or have a preference for a specific shipping

• I don't want to pay for postage, can I come pick up instead?

Yup! Self-collection is free, please let me know so we can schedule a time and date!
* If there is a convention with artist alley and if I am attending, I can send it to your table FOC on the event setup days as well :)

• Where is your office located?

My office is based in Kelana Jaya, Selangor.

• Do you have a storefront? Can I walk-in?

No and no, sorry! PawPrints is taking orders online only.

• Do you ship overseas?

A little tricky here, but more or less yes, with two condition:
1. Payment will somehow have to end up in PawPrints' account, via a local third-party transfer or overseas bank transfer (might take a few days to go through)
2. Anywhere EasyParcel can deliver to, please provide your postcode so I can have an estimate on the shipping fee!
(Is it not cheaper to print locally though??)

• What format should I submit my artwork in?

Badges - JPG, PSD, PNG, PDF
Prints & namecard - JPG, PSD, PNG, PDF
Kisscut Sticker - PSD (cutline on another layer), AI (CS6, with path for cutline), PNG, PDF, JPG
Diecut Sticker - PNG, AI (CS6, laid out in A3 with path for cutline), PSD, PDF
All files should be 300dpi for the best print quality
*bolded is the most preferred format

• Is your sticker waterproof?

By default I use Mirrorcoat sticker which is paper-based and not waterproof. Lamination can make it more water-resistant, but only on the surface, it will still be susceptible to water damages from the sides and under (not suitable for water bottle).
I also have waterproof sticker called OPP sticker! Though at an extra cost.

• Do you print transparent sticker?

Yes, but if you need it with white colour base (non-transparent on certain parts) it’s veeeeery expensive... :’( Without the white ink base, just imagine your artwork being half-transparent, like putting it on a ‘Multiply’ layer.

• You have a lot of laminations! What are the differences?

These are just some recommendation!
Matte - a little texturey and also the most basic, can't go wrong with this one!
Glossy - if you want it glossy, like Really Glossy; can be used to fake photocard effect
Stardust - sparkly! suitable for bright/light coloured artworks, matte-y surface
Starglitter - EXTRA sparkly! also has a very slight soft sand-like texture to it
Linen - has a cross-hatch canvas texture
Holographic - rainbow with different patterns, glossy surface

• Can I order without lamination?

For stickers, yes! For badges, all of them comes with a lamination to protect the surface, at no extra cost! If you don’t know which one to pick, go with matte!

• Can I add lamination to prints?

Yep you can, it’ll just be quite costly. I recommend using special print paper, like Maple, Linen and Lumin paper, to achieve certain effects instead!

• What's the difference between JPG, PNG and PDF?

JPG - format designed for print, can store more DPI information, bigger file size, but usually has artifact problem when displayed on screen (esp. evident in red colour and white background)
PNG - format designed for screen to counter JPG's issues, smaller file size, but might be a liiiittle bit blurrer compared to JPG when printed
PDF - format designed for both, but usually for print, can store all information including layers, DPI and colour profile (usually resulting in big file size), can be opened on most programs. However it's not an image type so there's really no reason to save your artwork as PDF unless it's for printing

• Should I submit in CMYK or is RGB ok? What are the differences?

CMYK - pigment colour, normal printer prints with these 4 colours (cyan, magenta, yellow, black)
RGB - light/screen colour, consist of red, green and blue
We print in CMYK, however in recent years our printing tech in general has gotten more advanced and most digital printer will automatically convert RGB to CMYK profile during print, at the best quality they can offer.
If you convert to CMYK yourself - the colour will be dimmer
If you let the printer auto-convert to CMYK - the colour might be brighter

TL;DR: please submit in RGB if you can

• What else do you plan to add into your product lineup in the future?

As a doujinshi enjoyer, black & white comic books is definitely high up on my list! Customized illustration book is still up in the air due to its high price though... I can already do single colour/effect vinyl printing on fabric like T-shirt and tote bags, but the spec is quite picky, please ask if you’re interested!

• Do you plan on making acrylic keychains/standee?

No. The upkeep for a good quality one is simply too high for a small, one-cat company like PawPrints :(

• Why does Cattato sometimes have long legs?

No it doesn't
